Have you ever, for whatever reason, felt on top of the world? That perfect mood that convinces you that you could do ANYTHING; a moment without a single care. That complete bliss, ecstasy, nirvana, high on life - whatever you wanna call it. It’s times like those that I just want to trap in a bottle and save for later. The truth is, no one has yet found the secret to male that feeling last forever. Despite what some lead us to believe, no one has the art of life mastered - we are all trying to figure it out on the fly. Right now, it seems that everybody is infatuated with seeing things, and being seen themselves; looking to inspire and be inspired. Hell, thats the whole fun of it. So in all of it, all the uppers and downers, what are we supposed to remember, if we ever did get another kick at the cat?

Just go with it
Its easy to get caught up in problems and to over-think the things that don’t really matter. Lets face it, some things we just can’t control; things like a change in evening plans or and unwarned rain shower, or a not-so-flattering haircut. We all are guilty of sweating the small stuff. We’ve all made a crisis out of small issue or gotten all in a knot when things don’t play out they way we’d pictured it. Its times like this when I turn to Mom who always has the perfect answer: Just Go With It. Its so simple and so true. In fact, it’s thinking like this that you end up having more fun then you expected. In todays world, everything is according to some schedule or another, but its impossible to plan an unplanned event (that’s just impossible). We need the unforeseen. It’s what keeps the adventure going in life!
Be Brave
I just love that start-fresh feeling that comes with the new year. Its almost as if we get that chance to wipe away all the flaws and start the ‘New You’ as we turn the calendar over. Let me tell you, I am on something like New Self -Version 976 by now. But we can’t look at this as a bad thing. In order to make changes we have to be prepared to fail. So I’m dedicating the beginning of 2012 to Being Brave. Bravery doesn’t have to be jumping off cliffs or joining the army. No, it can be in small and simple things, like deciding to go for it and but that bold red leather jacket, or putting yourself out there to meet new people. Indeed a little bit of bravery is all we need to push us to be the better, upgraded version of ourselves. It sounds like a lot of change and doing things we’d normally comfortably let pass by. But let me let you in on a little secret: there’s a whole lot of bravery in just being yourself!
Growing Up
It happens to the best of us. In fact, it happens to ALL of us. So why do we all dread it so much! As if life were some giant timer on some heavy-duty explosive. No. I’ve come to see that there will always be adventures ahead, there will always new insight to had and opportunity to be taken. We are growing not only in age but in wisdom, attitude, and relationships. The past is what makes us, and the future is what’s out their left to find. Each day, we are only becoming more of the person we are supposed to be.

Life Is Good
When it boils down to it the good times far outweigh the bad in this life. Even when it doesn’t seem so clear, we all know it’s true. There is no secret spell to ward off those sad and downhearted days, so instead we must acknowledge those days that keep us up and going. Remember the people that make you laugh, the places that make you smile, and the moments that make you remember.
The beach, good company, and without care - It’s the small things in life!
